Bewl Triathlon

Bewl Water triathlons and open water swimming events this weekend saw quite a few Team Bodyworks athletes racing out there. Saturdays open water swim saw our Lanzarote based athlete Harry Holdaway still only 14 finish 2nd male in the 1.9km event. He then teamed up with his Dad Lee to compete in the sprint tri completing the swim and run with Lee doing the bike Managing to finish 4th overall. Well done Harry!!
The sprint trI saw Harrison Rolls king take a well deserved win, with a dominant race leading from the start. Ali Eaton only a week after tackling Alpe D huez triathlon took a superb 1st in her age group and the fast improving Martin Hughes an outstanding 6th in his very competitive age group.
A fantastic achievement when a year ago he couldn’t swim!! Facing his fears to attend the first Tuesday night club swim a year ago was really tough, but he did it and now he has unlocked a whole range of new racing experiences. A real inspiration for anyone wanting to start out.
The olympic distance had a strong group racing too with Robert Light 8th in AG, Nick King 22nd AG, Fiona Bulger 2nd AG, and Joanne Smith 6th AG. Fantastic efforts from all of you, well done.
