British Junior and Youth Super Series Event Llanelli

The opening event in the British Triathlon Junior and Youth Super Series took place in Llanelli over the weekend with some strong performances from those TeamBW athletes that made the long journey over to South Wales.
In the Youth Boys Noah Canby took a well deserved 3rd place whilst in the Youth Girls Almi Neruraker finished a very creditable 8th.
Moving up to Junior Boys Jamie Bedwell finished 12th and in the Girls event Abi Hughes 13th with Maddie Drury 36th.
With very few of the top Junior and Youth athletes from around the UK missing from the event it gave a good indication for our athletes of the relative standards and an opportunity to measure up the processes of what they do and where they can tweak or overhaul approaches to make improvements should they so wish.
Well done to all those who toed the line.
Alongside the Super Series event there was a Childrens Series Duathlon (2k/6k/500m)in which Bethany Cook TS3 managed 1st.

IAPS swimming and S.E. Duathlon results

Some early results from the past weekend from the TeamBW athletes.

At the IAPS National swimming Championships held at K2 Crawley Bethany Cook finished 5th in the 50m Freestyle with a heat time 29.62 followed up with a final time of 29.23. Both swims PBs and the first time sub 30 for the 50m. Above all else the most enjoyable aspect was watching an athlete execute their race processes to the best of their ability. Gold dust !
At the Medway Duathlon part of the South East Childrens Series Daisy Burton (3rd) 11/12 Girls and Ed Armatyge (2nd) 13/14 Boys are definites that have been relayed apologies if there are others not mentioned here.
Once again a diverse weekend of results encapsulating the variety of disciplines that the TeamBW coached athletes perform in.
